The Zoe Project is a Christian Missionary Organization focused on reaching the children and people of Tembaro, Ethiopia, with the message of Jesus Christ through spiritual and academic education while meeting a person’s physical needs.
History
Patrick Hall
Director and Founder
The Zoe Project began in the heart of God in 2010 when Patrick and Danielle adopted their son Tegegn from Tembaro, Ethiopia. Then in 2022, God moved mightily to bring Patrick and his family back to Tembaro, Ethiopia with a heart to minister to the children and widows in the village where their son was from. During the years prior to the movement, Patrick and Danielle served in the local church as pastor and teachers while operating a local business.
Ministering Life
As God drew Patrick back to Ethiopia, the Lord continued to draw his heart to the children of this region. “Zoe” is the word for life in the Greek New Testament and as Patrick walked from the houses and visited the people in rural Ethiopia God made it clear that the Zoe Project was called to minister life to the spirit, souls and body of children and widows. The spirit is the part of a person that responds to God and the message of Jesus Christ. The soul is a person’s mind, emotions and will, where a people hold their purpose and happiness. The body is our material earthly body; without food and material resources, we cannot reach the spirit and souls of those God has chosen Zoe Project to minister to.
Local Church and Leadership
The Zoe Project partners with the local church to raise up leaders to start schools that minister to children in Tembaro, Ethiopia. Very early in Patrick’s time in Ethiopia, God provided a local church to partner with to bring about the mission of Zoe Project. We believe that the church and the gospel are God’s tools to bring about life to the lost, hurting and hopeless. We believe in empowered local leaders bringing about the mission of Zoe Project. We believe in building up and planting churches that can reach the children and people within the local community with the hope and life of Jesus Christ.
