Zoe School

Each Zoe Project school is in partnership with the local church with the purpose of ministering to the orphans in the local church area. The school is the vehicle the Zoe Project uses to minister to the children’s spirit, soul and body.
Our schools are run locally by people from the church and local village and are directed by an in-country Ethiopian Director.

Zoe School, Chancho Village

The school at Chancho Village is in partnership with Kale-Hiwot Church and is the founding school for the Zoe Project. Chancho Village is where Tegegn is from, the son Patrick and Danielle, the ministry founders. Pastor Ermis, the lead Pastor of Kale-Hiwot Church, was born in Chancho Village and planted the church 20 years ago. The staff and teachers are from the village and attend and serve in the church weekly.

The school is held in a church building that was previously used as a congregation meeting place and was recently refinished in blue, white and yellow to provide a conducive and fun learning environment for the children. Since opening the school, the Zoe Project has built a kitchen onsite that is used to feed the children daily and by the church to serve the community.

Each day the children learn Amharic, the country’s national language, English, math, and science. In partnership with the local church, there is also a Bible lesson each day.
